Here at Scallywags Childcare Centre, every member of our team has completed Paediatric First Aid training. We do this on a three year basis, ensuring that each member of the team is confident in delivering both basic and potentially lifesaving first aid.

 

We all hope that we never have to put this training into practice, but having this knowledge is key to providing the safest environment that we possibly can.

We have recently teamed up with Chesil First Aid and the RLSS to offer completely free, basic first aid training for parents, carers and grandparents of children that attend Scallywags Childcare Centre. This two hour session covers CPR and how to use a Defibrillator, the Recovery Position, Choking management, Seizures and Drowning prevention around the home.

We look to run these sessions a couple of times at year, here at Scallywags.

The spaces are limited and book up very quickly so we always advise booking fast.

At present, these sessions are only available to Parents and Carers of children who attend (or are due to attend) Scallywags Childcare Centre.
